Public Assemblies
Do you have an Event planned? Your Event may fall under the Public Assemblies City Ordinance.
In conjunction with the City Business Administrator the Bayonne Department of Public Safety, through the BPD Quality of Life Unit, is the initial point of contact in the Event Planning Process.
Review City Ordinance 4-31
After you have read the ordinance, please submit-
A fully completed application: Police Permit- Public Assembly
OR if your event does fulfil the criteria of a Permit, submit a Notification email with the details of your event, for notification and permission purposes
Note: The prohibition of parking at your event, for security purposes, will be determined and implemented by the Police. If you want to request No-Parking signs for event convenience please go to https://bayonnepd.org/no-parking-signs/
Insurance coverage is MANDATORY. Proof of insurance, with an Insurance Certificate, is required, with the Certificate Holder stating:
CITY OF BAYONNE, 630 AVENUE C BAYONNE, NJ 07002, ITS OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES.
A Site Map is required. This should be a simple, clear plan that shows the physical scope of the event along with locations of notable features, such as tents, rides, food stands, vehicles.
Print, physically sign, scan and email these documents to eventadministrator@bayonnepd.org
Upon review by the Quality of Life Unit the submitted package will be disseminated to all other Stakeholders/City Agencies for their input/approval.
Upon full approval the completed, approved package will be disseminated to the Event Organizer/Permit Holder and all other listed City agencies.
