The Bayonne Police Department, through the Traffic Enforcement Unit, has requirements for the documentation and management of these worksites.

Before conducting any work, you must become a Registered Entity with the Bayonne Police Department.  A Contractor Registration Package, consisting of the following, is done once and kept on file. Our documents are in PDF format.  They can be typed online and then printed. All documentation MUST be completed, correctly and completely, as directed. Handwritten documents WILL NOT be accepted

Contractor Registration Form – TYPED

Hold Harmless Agreement – TYPED and NOTARIZED. Note- The City of Bayonne Law Department does not permit ANY alteration to this form.

Title page of your insurance policy, with a Certificate Holder listed EXACTLY as follows – “City of Bayonne, 630 Avenue C, Bayonne, NJ 07002”

A CLEAR copy or photograph of an official I.D. (Driver’s License, State ID, Passport) for each person listed on the registration form.

Print, sign, scan and email these documents to traffic@bayonnepd.org OR deliver to the Traffic Unit.

Each individual work site requires a Police Permit. Return to this webpage and utilize the online forms posted below for an evaluation request.

Work Site Evaluation and Hold Harmless Form (Typed, No Notarization required)

These evaluations are reviewed Monday thru Friday from 7 am to 2 pm two business days prior to work date.

Print, sign, scan and email the documents to traffic@bayonnepd.org or fax to 201-858-6121.

After Hours Emergency Work?  Call 201-858-6949 and then complete the above documentation, sending it to the Traffic Unit as you would otherwise.
