Request for a Criminal History Record Information for a Noncriminal Justice Purposes

Initial Application

1. After obtaining your initial paperwork (Bayonne Police A.B.C. Application and IndentoGo Form) make your appointment by calling the telephone number or visiting the website listed on your IdentoGo form.

2. When going to your fingerprint appointment, bring the IdentoGo form you were given with you. Failing to do so, we will not receive your fingerprint results, and may result in applicant having to be re-fingerprinted. Fingerprints are completed using our form with our municipal code listed at the top.

3. After you have completed your fingerprints, hold onto your IdentoGo form and receipt, showing the date you went.

4. Call the Bayonne Police A.B.C. office 4-5 business days after the date you were printed (telephone number listed above). If your prints have been received, and background has been cleared and approved, you may then make your appointment to come pick-up your A.B.C. card. Failing to do so, we will not receive your fingerprint results, and may result in applicant having to be re-fingerprinted.

5. Pick-up: You must bring with you
a. Form of identification
b. A.B.C. application completed in its entirety
c. IdentoGo Form with receipt
d. $50.00 MONEY ORDER (ONLY) made payable to THE CITY OF BAYONNE

Effective immediately ABC Work Permit applications will only be accepted typed or filled out and printed from a computer. No handwritten applications will be accepted

For Renewals

Applicants will complete an online criminal background check 212A. Once completed, the applicant will receive a confirmation number. This number is to be written on the ABC Renewal application. No application will be accepted without this number.

Please Do Not include new employee applications during this process.

New Applicants: Call (201-858-6939) to make an appointment to obtain paperwork.

OPTIONAL

Renewal applications may be collected by a designee representing your establishment. Establishment or designee must then call the ABC office (201-858-6939) to make appointment to drop off completed applications. Once applications are processed you will receive a call to come pick them up.

When establishment designee comes to drop off completed packet of applications to be processed, please include payment for all renewal applications. Payment must be in the form of Money Order only, made payable to The City of Bayonne. (1) Money Order per establishment for all Renewal cards is preferred. Each Renewal ABC card has a fee of $30.00.
